Management Services

Lilley & Gillie have been supplying Navigation Charts and Publications to shipowners for more than 100 years. The service has evolved continuously to meet the requirements of specialised vessels and trading patterns, and offers a fully computerised system specifically developed to meet the demands of the ISM Code.

As the system has evolved functionality has been added to enable electronic navigation data to be managed alongside paper products in our already proven software. The ability to manage digital data and paper products together allows Lilley & Gillie to ensure that either using digital and paper products together or the transition to digital charts occurs with the minimum possible effort to the customer

The system can be customised to allow for individual requirements of shipowners and managers, but the primary function will be to ensure that the vessel always has on board the most up to date charts and publications for the areas in which it is operating, and is provided with the latest corrections and supplements. Once arranged, the service requires minimum action from ship managers, and includes auditing functions required by the ISM Code.

Our chart staff are highly experienced, and many have been serving officers at sea. This experience ensures that the system operates smoothly and successfullyand meets the customers requirements. Lilley & Gillie was the first British Admiralty Chart Agent to achieve Quality Accreditation to ISO9002 and continues to lead in the quality of service offered.

ChartCo

ChartCo is a provider of maritime data directly to ships at sea. It delivers bulk data by means of a satellite broadcast using the ship's existing Inmarsat A, B or Fleet F77 terminal in conjunction with a dedicated ChartCo broadcast receiver. There is no interference with normal ship's communications and the ChartCo data is received automatically. All communication costs are included in the service subscription fee.
