The GS620 Off Course Alarm (OCA) with sensor and TMC Termination/ PSU is a fully independent course monitoring device which complies with all conditions of IMO Resolution A342(IX). Features:

• Can enable more flexible wheelhouse design by using a repeater at the Helmsmans position instead of a periscope.

• Provides off course alarm, independant from the gyro/ autopilot as recommended in IMO A342(IX).

• Can provide outputs to operate autopilot, satcom, gyro repeaters etc. in the event of gyro failure.

• Initial and maintenance costs much lower than a second gyro.

• Instant operation - no running up time needed as with a gyro.

• Accepted by DNV as an option for the second gyro for Class Notation W1-0C.

It may be installed as a totally independent (stand alone) system or in conjunction with an Autopilot System and in all operating modes employs its own independent heading sensor, error detection and alarm signalling facilities in addition to the following standard features:-
